That hangar is in Station, and Station is near some Star. Station where your ship is located, is some other player item, he is owner of hangar where you have parked your ship. In station your ships and items are protected, while Station owner get some profits from players.

You can gather resources from Planets or Asteroids, sell them on market or produce new items. Every item in Farsite is made by players, and have value in cryptocurrency. Your goal is to grow your assets best way you know, and that will depend a lot about your abbility to find good teammates who can be of big help in early days as well as later. You might find a group of players and agree to go on a journey far from starting area, to establish Station there, colonise Planets, and then invite more friendly minded players to help your community grow faster. That might sound great or catastrophic idea, because it depends about your ability to protect and defend your assets. Stations can also be destroyed. Dont do foolish mistake in believing that there is safely environment. Weakly defended Station will attract raiders or fighters willing to destroy just everything if they can to loot many valuable items.
